Why Blog?
This is my first blog post. It coincides with the launching of my first website. Both are designed to support the publication of my second book, which is called In Good Hands. It’s available today on Amazon. Right now it can only be read on the Kindle. But that will change very soon. Stay tuned for more information.
In the meantime, you’ll find plenty on this site about me and about the book. I’ve also posted downloadable excerpts.
But I sense that you have questions. I can even sense what they are. Let me try to answer them.
Q: Will your blog be exclusively about your book or about child abuse or day care safety?
A: No. I reserve the right to tackle any topic I’m interested in that I feel you will be, too. If I’m wrong about your interest, I invite you to let me know. This is NOT to say that I plan to ignore the topic of my book. I just don’t want to subject any of us to a one-note blog. If that’s what you’re looking for, I’m certain you have plenty of choices.
Q: How often do you intend to post?
A: At least once a week.
Q: Have you ever done anything like this before?
A: Not exactly. I sometimes post on Facebook, but rarely in connection with my work. In fact, I have chosen not to make my Facebook page a workhorse for my career. That’s one reason I’ve started a website. The one thing I do that’s a little similar is I frequently tweet at work. But I use Twitter mainly to push out links to articles written by the reporters who work for the magazine I edit, and by the experts I edit who write for our websites. I also tweet about my own articles for the magazine.
Q: What’s the name of this magazine you keep referring to?
A: Corporate Counsel. It’s part of American Lawyer Media (ALM). Thanks for asking.
Q: Don’t you think this is plenty of information for your first blog post?
A: I do. Thanks for those incisive questions.
